Dr. Nouhi has supported patients through cancer diagnoses, diabetes management, autoimmune conditions, and life-altering medical treatments.

This work has always been personal

My journey into psychology began during a summer in college, when I volunteered at City of Hope Medical Center in the pediatric cancer department. Watching children and families navigate illness showed me something I could never unsee: health and psychology are inseparable. That experience set me on a path where mind and body would always be understood together.

From there, I pursued the extensive training required to become a licensed psychologist in the U.S. — a decade of graduate school, over 6,000 supervised hours, and years of experience across hospitals, community clinics, and medical centers. Along the way, I specialized in chronic illness, behavioral medicine, and the complex ways people respond to transition and change.

I’ve supported patients through cancer diagnoses, diabetes management, autoimmune conditions, and life-altering medical treatments. I’ve helped people navigate burnout, identity shifts, relationship changes, and relocation. And now, as an expat myself, I bring a lived understanding of what it means to rebuild your sense of self in a new place, culture, and language.

Today, I support adults in turning moments of change into opportunities for growth. Whether it’s a medical diagnosis, a major relocation, or breaking toxic relationship patterns, therapy with me is about creating clarity and confidence so you don’t just move forward — you move forward with purpose. Let’s thrive through change, together.

“Change isn’t just something to survive — it’s an opportunity to transform.”
