Meet your Psychologist —

Thriving Through Change, Together

  • Clinical Psychologist & Founder

With over 15 years of experience in health psychology and behavioral medicine, I specialize in helping adults manage chronic illness, navigate burnout, and move through major life transitions with greater resilience and clarity. My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based care and shaped by extensive clinical training and work across the U.S. healthcare system, including hospital, academic, and community-based settings.

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology with dual emphases in Health and Child Psychology from Palo Alto University, completed my clinical internship at UC Davis Medical Center, and pursued a postdoctoral fellowship focused on trauma and neuropsychology. I began my career working for seven years in integrated public healthcare settings, providing behavioral health support to underserved populations and collaborating closely with primary care teams.

Most recently, I spent three years at Scripps Health in San Diego, where I provided integrated psychological care to adults with diabetes, co-facilitated behavioral health education for peer coaches, and supported healthcare professionals through communication and burnout prevention trainings. I also contributed to the expansion of diabetes-focused patient education, provider workshops, and Project Dulce collaborations, blending behavioral science with practical strategies for care teams and patients alike. Since 2021, I’ve also built and led my own private practice in California, offering specialized care in health psychology and life transitions, while expanding services to meet the needs of individuals navigating chronic illness, burnout, and complex life changes.

Now based in the Netherlands, I provide virtual therapy to adults seeking thoughtful, expert support—whether they’re managing chronic illness, experiencing life abroad, or navigating emotionally demanding chapters of life. My practice is shaped not only by clinical expertise but also by a deep appreciation for cultural nuance. Growing up in California and having traveled extensively from a young age, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with diverse communities and perspectives. This lifelong exposure informs the way I connect with clients—bringing both clinical rigor and a personalized, culturally responsive approach to every session.

In my personal time, I find joy in reconnecting with childhood pastimes like ice skating, horseback riding, and cycling. My cup is filled by the strong, supportive connections I’ve built in the Netherlands—and by the daily grounding presence of my family. And of course, there’s always stroopwafel.
